Blueberry Hill Wines Pokolbin, Hunter Valley
Boutique wines from 100% Hunter Valley grapes and vineyard
Situated at the northern end of McDonalds Road, Pokolbin, Blueberry Hill is a long established vineyard which was once part of the old McPherson Estate. Grapes from the well-established vines produce wonderful characteristics in the wine.
We grow six varieties of grapes on Blueberry Hill – Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon – some featuring in wines winning international awards.
Blueberry Hill has a uniquely positioned cellar door with magnificent views across lovely Hunter vineyards to the Brokenback Range. It’s a ‘must see’.
We invite you to taste our single vineyard boutique wines at our memorable Cellar Door which commands a view. Grown from our 59 year old vines planted following removal of previously established Blueberry trees. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown and picked to produce small batch and boutique wines. Prior to Blueberry Hill wines the likes of Pepper Tree and Tyrrells Wines produced quality wines from the grapes grown on the property. Blueberry Hill label was established 20 years ago by the Howarth family and taken over by new consortium of owners and management in March 2016.
